Twenty five years ago I launched Cutting Through the Grey (CTTG), a strategy consultancy focused on supporting Boards, Directors and Governance Professionals as they develop change strategies and lead their implementation. Through CTTG, I enable organisations and their leaders to develop Situational IntelligenceTM.
My background includes leadership, operational management and consulting experience across multiple business sectors and geographical territories. Clients span multinationals, SMEs, start ups and government bodies. I have helped leaders make sense of complexity in sectors that include financial and professional services, pharmaceuticals, engineering, construction and media.

The Chartered Governance Institute UK
I worked in partnership with CGI UKI for over twelve years, designing and leading both open and in-company development programmes for senior governance professionals. My insights have been shared in a column and succession of articles for Governance and Compliance Magazine. I was elected a Fellow in 2017 and joined the judging panel for the Annual Governance Awards in 2019.
Institute of Directors
From 2004-2019, I worked with IOD designing and facilitating strategic issue workshops, providing business coaching for individuals and Boards, and creating and leading open and in-company Director Development Programmes globally. I was awarded a Lifetime Fellowship by The Institute in 2019 in recognition of my contribution to Director Development.
